more bag making

this one is for my friend's neice. i'm headed to her birthday party this afternoon. she's still little, but it's never too early to start; mom always says, "a girl can never have too many bags!" i just sort of did it as i went along and didn't take photos until the end.

it's hard to see the yellow in the cherry blossom fabric, but it's there. i managed to pin the straps in between the outside fabric and the lining when i topstitched around the top so their ends are hidden inside. and a zipper, or velco on the flap, would add a bit of security. maybe next time.
