i just finished moving my digital photos from 2005 and 2006 onto my external hard-drive (number 40). i figured keeping two years of photos on my actual computer was reasonable. then again, "reasonable" becomes such a relative term when we talk about my digital photos:
2005: 969
2006: 2646
2007: 2632
2008: 1937
and we're only four months into 2008! looks like number 26 is in the bag.
i do worry that i'll lose the data somehow, somewhere but it's just not practical for me to have photo albums when i haven't settled in a place where i can store them on a mostly permanent basis. my mom has done an amazing job printing, labeling, filing and displaying our family photos over the years and, while digital is great, i do miss sitting down with a big book of photos that i can actually hold and flip through.
maybe someday...

i love folders and having all my files (photos and otherwise) organized! when i switched to a mac 2 years ago, i was really annoyed at iPhoto's sorting system, but i've sort of learned to deal with it. haha.
