too much cheer?

i smell like cheer laundry detergent. that alone, is not a bad thing. in fact, i really like the smell. but when it's all over the floor too, then it's a bad thing:

my laundry detergent bottle fell from the new clearly-not-wedged-in-tightly-enough shelves with a thud (and a splash because the refill bags of body soap and shampoo fell into the toilet!) the cap broke in half and bright blue laundry detergent went spilling out across the floor, around the toilet, and almost out the door.

i threw the detergent saturated toilet mat into my shower room, and tried to soak up what i could with paper towels. then, i took advantage of a HUGE amount of detergent and threw my kitchen mat in with the toilet mat. i gave them a much needed cleaning, but there was so much soap that even after several rinses, there were still suds forming. i gave up and hung them up to dry. we'll see how they turn out...

i used tons of paper towels to soak up and "wash off" the floor, but i can't get the soapy feeling off the tile. it's like there's a layer of it that just won't go. one drop of water and my toilet room will be a slip-n-slide disaster.

i like the smell and all...but this might be a little too much cheer.
