new twenty five for twenty ten: july

backdating, because i can. also, slightly updated list so i left even the uncompleted ones in there. must try better in august.

1 hula hoop for 30 minutes 3 times a week
i think i hooped twice the first week of july. must get back on the bandwagon.

2 wardrobe purge
3 balcony overhaul

4 start an etsy shop/sell something i made
i gave seven of my zippered pouches to a family friend who owns a knitting/yarn shop when i was home. she's going to sell them in her shop for me. well, if someone will buy them! also got my debit card situation sorted so hopefully i can set up a paypal account for etsy. baby steps.

5 make a budget and stick to it (continue ds budget book)
i may have already blown my budget and it's only the 8th. oops. now, at the end of the month, i have a bulging wallet of receipts still waiting to be dealt with and no "budget" either. august it is.

6 start writing a book
7 make 4 things i can actually wear out of the apartment

8 make two quilts (from start to finish)
i bought fabric for a picnic quilt and have the top already finished.  i also got five yards of heather ross's far far away unicorns in four colors that were less than $4 a yard(!!) so those will probably be quilt number two (?).

9 clean out my itunes
10 get a massage (or two!)
11 throw away unnecessary stuff (work boxes, closet, pantry)
12 organize magazine clippings/etc. (make an inspiration board, or two!)

13 go to the ghibli museum
14 go to another museum
15 go to a performance of some kind
16 bike across tokyo

17 climb mt. fuji
18 travel to a new place in japan        (though, financially, i think only
19 travel to a new country                  one of these two will happen)

20 vacuum and wipe floors once a week

21 read a book once a month
i didn't even open the book i took to read on the plane. but i bought a book by the author of the time traveler's wife and can't wait to find time to read it.

22 mail a letter to someone once a month
i sent thank you notes to people who did stuff for me (and Ro) while in the states. does that count? ...yeah, i didn't think so.

23 call home at least once a month
i called my mom on her birthday 7/5. then i went home from the 15-25th.

25 keep nails looking nice in an effort to quit biting my nails
i got them done just before going home.  they looked like this.
