charming

today i have yet another day off! if this is what work was always like, i might reconsider quitting. but, this is what 3rd term is like, ONLY.

i finally got around to making a flickr account. for someone who loves taking and looking at photos as much as i do, i'm way behind the curve! it was mostly spurred on by all of the photos in the scrapdown group; i wanted to be able to upload my photos too (i'm a sucker for peer pressure) because here's what's been happening at the sewing machine:

monday night

wednesday morning

i had to redo part which involved ripping apart a bunch of seems, to re-place a particular bird, but it was a quicker fix than i expected. EVERY time i look at the last photo though, i see squares i want to move. they never seem to be in exactly the "right" place...i guess that's the charm of a charm quilt?

I think your quilt is really really cool Jo! My grandma made me one when I was little and I still have it. (in Japan) I treasure it! I will be enjoying watching your progress too. : )
