i was bored and signed up on an online dating site to see
what all the talk is about. if i'm like any of the people
i know who have online profiles, you can look forward to
future posts about ridiculous messages, weird dates, funny
guys and, if we're lucky, a good looker or two. stay tuned.
p.s. as i get to posting this, i'm in the middle of a "dude,
how many times must i say thanks but NO thanks" conversation.

Oh oh oh! I know those emails! Despite having written my profile in Japanese I got tons of messages in English with "let's talk English!" My favourite was a guy who sent me a message asking to meet despite the fact that he didn't meet a single one of the "conditions" I had set!
You're kinder than me if you're replying with nos, however, as I tended just to delete...

it's actually not a japanese site, but when i used to post and browse on mixi, i got a lot of those kinds of messages too.
this time, so far, it's a mix of military, north american ALT or indian IT guys and a sprinkling of japanese people who can speak enough english to join. hmm...
if i'm bored, or feeling nice, i reply. probably asking for trouble, but at least it's entertaining! haha
