i went a totally different route yesterday; full nail color and high contrast. (hard to believe these are the nails of the same person who got these nails just six months ago) but, oh i love them!
usually i can't stand anything bumpy or sticking out on or around my nails because it just tempts me to touch and pick at them, but the rhinestones were just too sparkly and pretty to resist. (the heart shapes are completely flat but the rhinestones at the base of my nails stick up a bit) so far they don't bug me as much as i thought, which means the nail design possibilities just increased exponentially!
usually i have her file them back down because after 4 weeks of having gel nails, they grow a fair amount, but this time i just had her change the shape of my nails a bit but keep the length. so now they're squared off a bit and with the full nail color, my nails look so long! i can't believe it; i've spent my whole life with nails bitten down to (often) bleeding and now look at them. :)
while they aren't
super expensive, they are definitely a "treat" and worth every yen. they make me happy.
