legal father?

i'm watching some variety/celeb news program and tanaka yuji's (probably someone famous, but i don't know him) ex-wife has announced that she's 5 months pregnant.  she was pregnant at the time of their divorce, but she says the father is not her (now) ex-husband.

but!

according to japanese law, the child is legally considered the husband's, since they were married when she got pregnant.
