surprise!

just wednesday, i was wondering
if it would even be worth
looking through all the old magazine cutouts
that i've collected over the years.

i probably haven't looked through them
in over a year, and debated
just throwing them away altogether.

it's a good thing i didn't!

among brochures and sightseeing pamphlets
from places like bangkok and hiroshima and kyoto,
there were lots of cute outfit ideas-
pictures of bags and shoes
and clothes i want.

but, i also found

purikura i took with my parents
when they were here in the spring of 2009.

recipes that look easy
even for me.

and

11000yen!


now how to spend it... ;)
