valentine's day socks

i found these socks in the valentine's day section of the dollar store today. they were begging to be made into a sock animal. so, that's my project for the week. while i go to school here in canada, i've got a lot of down time on my hands.

i check on all the kids in the morning before school starts (8am), say hello to the ESL teacher and then drop by the morning ESL group once of twice before lunch, once or twice to the afternoon group, and then after school make sure they all get on their buses to go home. that leaves some serious gaps between the hours of 8am and 2:30pm.  and i have no problems finding ways to fill those gaps!

i had been reading. i just finished book three of the sookie stackhouse series, so i got these socks and picked up a cheap sewing kit too. now i'm off to find a good (and unusual) sock creature tutorial.  :)
