twenty five for twenty ten: january

5 keep track of finances
i restarted my budget "game" on my nintendo ds.  the numbers are depressing.  but, on the bright side, things can only go up from here!

8 make two quilts (from start to finish)
i'm trying to organize a fabric swap to jump start a quilt...

20 explore my neighborhood even more (shop at a different grocery, bike ride, etc)
Ro and i went to two new places this month. a tiny (read: tatami seating for 8 and table seating for 4) katsu curry place, just 5 minutes away, on the other side of the station. they deliver too! and an all you can eat yakiniku buffet with plates of raw meat and vegetables to grill, plus salad, fruit, oden, a waffle maker, and a bunch of other random kinds of food. 1360yen for 90 minutes and we both walked away stuffed.

21 read a book once a month
i'm reading the sookie stackhouse series. i started the first one while i was home at christmas, finished it mid month, then finished the 2nd one and am already a couple chapters into the 3rd one. there are 7 books but i don't want to finish them too quickly.

22 mail a letter to someone once a month
do thank you notes for christmas presents count? i also sent a zippered pouch to a college friend and another something to the winner of my 500 giveaway. (sorry it took me so long!)

25 keep nails looking nice in an effort to quit biting my nails
i got clear gel nails at the end of the month. the plan is to grow them out while in canada and come back with nice looking nails worthy of something prettier than clear.
